This Chat page is mainly devoted to the Excite Chat rooms that I frequent. My nickname is Stuey-UK, and I generally go to the Trivia Chat rooms where we all try to out-answer one another. I consider the Trivia Chat rooms as Chat Rooms with Purpose! I have made many friends there, too many to mention, but I've compiled a gallery of their AV's on my Chat Gallery page.

Did you know: It's really easy to make your own avatars. They are a simple GIF or BMP. The size is 48 pixels wide by 64 pixels tall. If you have a package such as Paint Shop Pro, or any reasonable graphics manipulation package, you can crop & re-size any scanned pictures, and you have created your first avatar! Just put them in the /EXTS/GALLERY folder, and they will be there the next time you go in to the Chat rooms.

Tours are made with the same concept, except they are 144 pixels wide by 64 pixels tall. Save them in your /EXTS/TOURS folder.

If you want help making your own Avatars and Tours (automatic sizing and selection) try to find Chilly's avatar maker on the net for download.

If you want to try your hand at making some Gestures of your own try to find "Big Dawg's" gesture builder. It is available somewhere for download, search and find it.

IE - right click the name, then choose save target as
Netscape - right click the name, then choose save link as
The location should be your VPLACES/EXTS/GESTURES folder.

Time to sing the praises of ICQ (I Seek You). It allows you to keep tabs on your friends, and see whether they are on-line or not. They can see you when you get on-line too, unless of course you don't want to broadcast your on-line status, you can become invisible. ICQ is good for immediate chat, dialog box chat, and for sharing URL's and transferring files. It is one of the best products available on the Internet, has many uses, and is extremely good fun.
